Breaded King Fish

Ingredients:

King Fish (a.k.a. Seer Fish/Spanish Mackerel) - 500g (Cleaned & Sliced)
Chilli Powder - 2 Tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 Tsp
Ginger & Garlic Paste - 2 Tsp
Lime Juice as needed
Salt to taste
--------------------------
All Purpose Flour - 1 Tbsp
Water as needed
Fine Bread Crumbs - for coating
Oil for frying

Method:

1. Mix chilli powder, turmeric powder, ginger & garlic paste, lime juice and salt in a bowl and prepare the marination for the fish.

2. Dip each piece of fish in the prepared paste and place on a plate. If there is excess, pour it over the marinated fish. Refrigerate for an hour.

3. Mix flour and water together to make a batter which is a little bit thicker than pancake batter. Keep some breadcrumbs ready on a separate dish. Heat a pan of oil on medium flame for frying.

4. Take one slice of fish and dip in the flour batter. Coat well and then place it on the plate of breadcrumbs. Using your hands, turn all sides of the fish and coat well with breadcrumbs.

5. Take the breaded slice of fish and press between your palms to give it a perfect finishing. Repeat the same process for the rest of the slices as well.

6. Fry until it turns golden brown. Drizzle some hot ketchup and serve with sliced lime.
