Indo Chinese Prawns





Ingredients:

Cleaned Jumbo Prawns (with shell) - 500g
Finely Chopped Garlic - 5 Cloves
Finely Chopped Green Chilli - 2 Tsp
Ginger & Garlic Paste - 1 Tsp
Tomato Paste - 1 Tbsp
Sweet Soy Sauce - 1 Tbsp
Tabasco® Green Jalapeno Pepper Sauce - 1 Tsp
Cornstarch - 1 Tbsp (Dissolved in 3 Tbsp of water)
Coarsely Chopped Spring Onions - 1/2 Cup
Coarsely Chopped Green Bell Pepper - 1/2 Cup
Salt & Pepper to Taste
Oil - 1 Tbsp

Method:

1. Heat oil in a wok. Add garlic, chilli and ginger & garlic paste. Saute until the rawness goes away.

2. Add tomato paste along with half a cup of water. Stir and cook until the sauce starts to boil.

3. When it starts to boil add the prawns with sweet soy sauce and green sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Mix gently and cover. Let it cook on medium flame for few minutes.

4. When the prawn are cooked add the cornstarch mixture and stir. Simmer until it reaches desired thickness.

5. Finally check the seasoning and add the chopped spring onions and bell pepper. Cook for a minute and turn off the heat.

6. Best served with seafood or mixed fried rice.
